![]() I can find decent general MIDI sounds for cheap. Has this been done? Any tips on getting all that done? I think this will be the cheapest up front route, and I can add whatever modules I want later on. I'm thinking about just using a controller for the keys, and installing a small sound module inside for sounds, plus wire it to accept external modules as well. Is it possible to keep the current action and keys, and just add triggers to the keys for MIDI data? I REALLY like the action of the upright, and buying an electric keyboard or controller that comes close would be expensive. I have a few questions about making this electric: Anyone here have experience converting an upright piano to electric or MIDI keyboard? I have an old Starck that might not be able to be repaired.
